Hyderabad: Celkon Resolute, a 50:50 joint venture between Hyderabad-based Celkon Group and Resolute Group, has partnered with Chinese telecom equipment company ZTE Telecom. wifi 6 router At a new facility in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh (AP).

The joint venture company said the plant will have an initial capacity to manufacture 2 lakh WiFi 6 routers per month, and will be scaled up to 5 lakh units per month within three to four months of the plant becoming operational, aimed at meeting the demand from export markets.
The joint venture partners said the strategic alliance is a significant leap towards integrating advanced solutions, starting with the implementation of WiFi 6 technology. They said in a joint release that the collaboration between Celkon Resolute and ZTE Telecom aims to introduce cutting-edge WiFi 6 technology globally, which will enable faster and more reliable internet connectivity.
Welcoming the new investment, AP's new IT minister Nara Lokesh said this is just the beginning for ZTE in AP with Wi-Fi 6 router manufacturing. “We want other verticals from the global ZTE portfolio to be manufactured in AP,” Lokesh said.
ZTE Telecom CEO Liu Chao said ZTE's high-end technologies will involve comprehensive data collection from citizens, devices, buildings and assets, paving the way for a more connected and efficient urban environment.
He said the introduction of WiFi 6 routers will revolutionise infrastructure globally by enabling seamless connectivity and better data management as they will provide faster speeds, greater capacity and lower latency, which are crucial for the development of various applications such as smart traffic management, efficient energy utilisation, advanced security systems and improved public services.
