RSS statement on Rahul Gandhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's statement in Parliament. RSS said that the Congress leader's statement linking Hindutva with violence is unfortunate.
Reacting to the remarks of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, senior RSS functionary Sunil Ambekar said, “It is unfortunate that people in important positions are linking Hindutva with violence.”
He said that whether it is (Swami) Vivekananda's Hinduism or (Mahatma) Gandhi's, it is a symbol of harmony and brotherhood. Ambedkar is the head of the All India Publicity Department of the RSS.
What did Rahul Gandhi say?
Rahul Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on the BJP in the Lok Sabha and said that the BJP leaders are not Hindus because they are involved in 'violence and hatred' 24 hours a day. His comment was strongly opposed by the ruling party. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Accused the Congress leader of terming the entire Hindu community as violent.
However, Rahul Gandhi hit back at PM Modi, saying he was talking about the BJP and neither the ruling party, nor the RSS nor Modi represent the entire Hindu society.

PM Modi may respond to the discussion on the motion of thanks related to the President's address on Tuesday (July 2, 2024) evening. Sources said that the discussion is likely to end on Tuesday evening, after which PM Modi will respond.
In fact, the 16-hour discussion in the Lok Sabha began on Monday morning and continued through the night.
