Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has been admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital where he underwent a minor surgery. A source told IANS that the senior actor had a busy schedule recently due to the election campaign and his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's wedding.
Earlier, when Sonakshi visited the hospital with her husband Zaheer Iqbal, speculations were rife about her being pregnant. However, the source confirmed that the actress visited the hospital to see her father.
Although it is not clear how soon Shatrughan will be discharged from the hospital, it is being said that the actor's condition is currently stable and he has been kept under observation.
It is a bit disappointing for the Sinha family after the double celebration of Shatrughan's Lok Sabha victory and Sonakshi's wedding.
Shatrughan recently won the Lok Sabha 2024 elections from Asansol constituency in West Bengal and expressed his gratitude to the people of Asansol. The actor won by a margin of 59,564 votes against BJP candidate Surinderjit Singh Ahluwalia.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23 in Mumbai after dating for seven years. The two first met at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's party. Interestingly, both Sonakshi and Zaheer started their careers with Salman.
Sonakshi made her debut with Salman in the box office hit 'Dabangg', while Zaheer made his debut with Salman Khan's home production 'Notebook'.
