Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati on Rahul Gandhi: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi is being heavily criticized for his statement on Hinduism during his speech in the Lok Sabha. From the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to religious leaders, everyone is attacking him. In this sequence, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that nowadays there is a competition among everyone to become a Hindu.
Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda, who reached his monastery in Kankhal, Haridwar on Tuesday (02 July) evening after his Chamoli stay, has reacted sharply to Rahul Gandhi's statement on Hindus. He has said that there is a race to call oneself a big Hindu in the politics of the entire country, but till date no step has been taken to protect the cows of crores of Hindus. He demanded all the members of the new Parliament to bring a bill for cow protection and said that he will consider the one who gets the bill for cow protection passed in the Lok Sabha as a real Hindu.
'It is not right to call Hindus violent'
He further said, “Hindu is made up of two words – 'Hin' and 'Du'. 'Hin' means 'violence' and 'Du' means 'one who stays away'. Therefore, Hindu means 'one who stays away from violence'. Therefore, it is not right to call Hindus violent.” On the other hand, on the use of DJ in Kanwad Yatra, Shankaracharya said that he is not in favor of it. Kanwadias should participate in this religious journey by using only drums, cymbals, conches and Ghadiyal.
What did Rahul Gandhi say?
On Monday (01 July), Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha, “People who consider themselves Hindus indulge in violence and hatred 24 hours a day. You people are not Hindus at all. It is clearly written in Hinduism that one should support the truth.” On this, BJP MPs started creating a ruckus in the House. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also objected and said that this is a very serious matter, calling the entire Hindu society violent is serious.
Rahul gave this answer on PM Modi's objection
To this Rahul Gandhi said, “No, Narendra Modi They are not the entire Hindu society. BJP and RSS are not the entire Hindu society. BJP has not taken the contract of it.” During this, a question was raised in the House whether Rahul Gandhi is targeting BJP in the name of Hindus because this time the majority vote for NDA has not increased but decreased. Rahul Gandhi said, “Hindus cannot spread violence. BJP spreads hatred and violence 24 hours a day.” Rahul Gandhi seems to be in deep trouble regarding this.
