Ekadashi day holds great religious and spiritual significance in Hinduism. Lord Vishnu is worshipped on this holy day. There are 24 Ekadashis every year, which fall twice every month in Krishna and Shukla Paksha. This month Yogini Ekadashi will be celebrated on 2 July 2024 on the eleventh day of Krishna Paksha of Ashadh month.

Significance of Yogini Ekadashi
Ekadashi is one of the holiest fasts dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu. Devotees observe the fast with great reverence and dedication and pray to Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. This day holds great religious and spiritual significance for Hindus. Observing the fast with dedication and good intentions can help devotees get rid of past sins and break the cycle of birth and death. It is said that Shri Hari bestows happiness, prosperity and all worldly pleasures to those who regularly worship Lord Vishnu and observe a fast at this time. Ekadashi fast is considered so powerful that it can remove all the sufferings of devotees and even help people attain salvation after death.
Rituals For Yogini Ekadashi
1. Get up early in the morning, take a holy bath and clean the house and puja room.
2. Set up an altar on a wooden plank and place the idol of Lord Vishnu on it.
3. Light a lamp of Desi Ghee, offer a garland of yellow flowers and Tulsi leaves (not plucked on Ekadashi).
4. Avoid eating rice on Ekadashi day.
5. Recite Yogini Ekadashi Katha, chant Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaye, and the Krishna Maha Mantra 108 times.
6. Recite Vishnu Sahasranama to please Lord Vishnu.
7. Repeat the puja in the evening, chant mantras, offer bhog prasad and perform Vishnu aarti.
